Let us know | Holiday Resort at a Glance: (Questions 1-3)1. Where are you located? White Lake Holiday Resort is conveniently located: *Across from White Lake Town Hall and Fire Department. *1/2 way between Goldston's Beach and Camp Clearwater. *Next door to Lasley's Motel and Langston's Motel. Click here for map and directions. 2. What is included with every unit? Our units (homes) have many things your home has. Inside, guests will find: a fully equipped kitchen complete with coffee maker, microwave, baking dishes, cooking utensils, family size pots & pans, fire extinguisher, refrigerator, stove, silverware, dishes, and glasses. Every unit has a washer & dryer, a DVD/VCR player, Cable TV, and units C-6 and C-8 have a dishwasher. Our bedrooms have alarm clocks, night stands, dressers, pillows, mattress-pads, blankets, bedspreads, and extra pillows. Stay cool with central air conditioning (C-2 has window units) Outside, our customers can: enjoy their own picnic table (except C-5 and C-8) and charcoal grill, use our extremely large beach front, use one (or both) of our TWO well-maintained piers, and can use our many swings and the shaded hammock. Every unit has a place to wash the sand off everyone's feet. 3. What does my family need to bring to White Lake? 1. Bed linens for appropriate size beds. 2. Paper goods: napkins, paper towels, and extra toilet paper. (We provide one roll for each bathroom.) 3. Hand soap, shampoo, and conditioner 4. Bath towels and Beach towels, and extra trash bags. 5. If someone forgets anything: Our registered guests recieve a discount at: Resort Collections Gift Shop: The Gorilla Store Floats, goggles, towels, cameras, bathing suits, flip flops, etc. DO NOT BRING: 1. Pets: (See #15 Under General Questions) 2. Illegal drugs: Your family will be removed with no refund. 3. More people than are registered to stay: Our units have plenty of room, but we won't tolerate abuse of our property. Making Reservations: (Questions 4-6)4. Why is Holiday Resort always full?
We are blessed to have the same families return year after year. If your family is interested in staying with us and nothing is currently available, your family can be added to our waiting list.
5. What deposits are required?
For weekly rentals, a $250.00 total deposit is required.
($100 of this deposit is non-refundable.) Families staying with us for the first time are required to pay the entire deposit upon making the reservation. Returning families may reserve their place for next year with a $100 non-refundable deposit, and pay the remaining $150.00 by February 1st of the following year. For Off-Season weekend rentals, one night’s rate is the required deposit, and is due upon making the reservation. 6. Do you offer weekend rentals?
We are blessed and stay full for most of the rental season. On occasion, however, an unexpected cancellation allows a unit vacancy. First, we try to rent that unit for the whole week, and then, we will rent the unit for a minimum of two nights.
Weekend rentals ARE available during the off season and for triathletes in the White Lake Triathlon. As soon as you are officially registered for the event, contact us to make your reservation. Our triathlete guests park free on a lot located 1 block from the event. Check-In and Payments: (Questions 7-12)7. When can our family check in? We take pride in the cleanliness of our units, please allow us the opportunity to give our full attention to cleaning your unit by not coming before the Check-In Time of 4 PM. (Sunday) If you must come to White Lake before check in time, please visit Resort Collections Gift Shop: The Gorilla Store. (Registered guests receive a discount.) 8. When is check out? Check-Out is 11AM. (Sunday) Please allow the next family to have a unit as clean as it was when your family arrived. We thank you in advance for leaving on-time or earlier. 9. Where do we send our payments? There is no onsite office, so checks and money orders can be sent to: White Lake Holiday Resort 98 Wilson Road White Lake, NC 28337 We will send you a confirmation post card. 10. Can I pay for my room online? At this time we do not accept online payments for rooms. Please send a check or money order to the address in question number 9. 11. How can I pay upon check-in? If you haven’t done so already, the balance of your rent is due upon check-in. We will gladly take, cash, check, money order, or credit card. (We do not take American Express.) 12. What is your cancellation policy? Out of respect for all the people we turn away, our cancellation policy is strictly enforced! There is a 45 day cancellation notice required for all weekly rentals and a 30 day cancellation for all other rentals. Although we keep a contact list in the event of a cancelation, we understand it's nessecarry to coordinate family schedules, work around summer camp or sports, and get time off from work. If you have any questions about this policy, feel free to contact us for clarification. General Questions: (Questions 13-21)13. Are your rooms clean? We have been told by many families that we are one of the cleanest places at White Lake. If there is anything that needs our attention, let us know immediately so we can correct any oversight. 14. Are your Units close to the waterfront? All of our units are within 400ft of the White Lake. . 15. Do you allow pets? No. This is a Town Ordinance. The Barking Lot is a nearby boarding facility. Contact them as soon as possible to check on availability for your week. http://www.barkinglotinc.net/ 16. Do you have Internet access? An internet Hot Spot is located within our park and internet access is provided by Intrstar Comunications.
Use your Credit Card for access: Daily Access is $4.95 or get it for the whole week at $14.95 17. Do you have non-smoking units available? Yes! Effective 2011 Summer, our units have become Smoke FREE! Smoking is permitted, on the piers, decks and beach, however, we ask that you kindly extinguish cigarettes in the cigerette-sand-buckets and NOT in the lake, NOT on the beach, and NOT on the ground. 18. Are there restaurants nearby? There are several places to eat at White Lake. A couple of our favorites are Pizza Connection (free delivery) and Potter’s Seafood, both of which are at White Lake. Elizabethtown has Giorgios (Italian), Golden Run (Chinese), and San José (Mexican) among others. 19. Do you provide housekeeping for your units? Holiday Resort is a home-away-from-home. There is no maid or turndown service unless you provide it yourself. ;) 20. Is Parking Free? Yes, however, there is a limit of three cars per unit. Because of space, C-8 and C-7 are only allowed two cars. 21. Do you have phones in your units? Phones are not available in our units; most cell phones have service. |
